Marijuana Sales and Consumption Added to Annual Hoxeyville Music Festival

WELLSTON – Hoxeyville Enterprises, which produces the Hoxeyville Music Festival near Wellston, has partnered with cannabis outfitter Dunegrass Co. to produce a marijuana retail and consumer event for the 20th anniversary of the long-running festival in august.

Dunegrass will provide on-site sales of cannabis products and has teamed up with cannabis event organizer and grower Tom Beller – who is also COO of Real Leaf Solutions in Kalkaska – to create an on-site consumer experience. “which elevates the music festival to a whole new level.”

“Dunegrass is beyond excited to be working on the first music festival-turned-cannabis event in the state. Until now, all the cannabis events on site were cannabis first, entertainment second. We are flipping the model by partnering with a long-running festival like Hoxey by adding to it,” said Eric Piedmonte, COO of Dunegrass.

Real Leaf Solutions is a Michigan licensed cannabis cultivator owned and operated by Tom and Krista Beller, who have caregiver roots.

The claimant team of Hoxeyville Productions, Dunegrass Co. and Real Leaf Solution’s Beller, won approval from the Township of South Branch in County Wexford to operate the cannabis portion of the event at the recent board meeting of township administration on April 20, according to a press release.

“We are very pleased to offer this option to our attendees and look forward to growing both this experience within the event as well as our partnership with Dunegrass,” said Jake Robinson, of Hoxeyville Productions.

The Hoxeyville Music Festival grounds are located on 150 acres of farmland surrounded by the Manistee National Forest.

Hoxeyville features two stages featuring touring national artists and Michigan talent with a capacity of 4,000.
