Cardi B won’t be releasing a music video for her new single

Cardi B is set to stage a major comeback with the release of her new single this Friday (July 1). However, she does this without a music video, and the reason might surprise you.

The “WAP” superstar recently announced his new release “Hot S–t” on social media. The track features Kanye West and Lil Durk and arrives this week.

Cardi teased the single with a promotional video, which sees her standing high on top of a skyscraper. From the snippet that accompanied the clip, it looks like she has a banger up her sleeve.

She went on to reveal what appears to be the cover art for the single on Instagram. However, during an Instagram Live, Cardi got candid about the outing and told fans she almost gave up on it.

“I wanted to cancel my outing for this week,” she explained. “Because s–t is not executed as it should.”

While the hitmaker ultimately decided it would be “too radical,” she explained that the song would arrive without a music video.

And it looks like fans shouldn’t expect a barrage of promos either.

“I just don’t feel like doing the… You know how I do the most with the promo usually? I just don’t feel like doing too much this time around,” a- she declared. “I’m just burnt out with everyone. I’m so sick of people not doing their job properly. I’m so sick of people doing things their way. I’m just sick of it.”

She thanked her fans for their support and expressed her confidence that “Hot S–t” will perform well regardless. However, she seemed to blame it on her feelings towards her team.

As for the sound of the single, Cardi described the track as masculine and for clubs.

It is currently unclear whether a music video for “Hot S–t” will be released at a later date. Complex indicates that the visual has been “delayed”. However, it is not entirely clear if this is the case or if the video will never be released.
