Celtic Music News has just added Scythian to it’s library!
Had the pleasure of seeing Scythian live on 5/23/08 and as usual they put on a stellar performance! This band is out of Washington DC and is being booked at major festivals and drawing huge crowds of people. They are real crowd pleasers and play a large selection of Celtic, Gypsy & Ukranian tunes.

Greenwich Meantime released their 2nd cd titled Proof, and two of their founding members have left the band. Bassist Nigel Bazinet moved to western Canada, and Fiddler/Vocalist Shelley Downing grew weary of road life and wanted to spend more time at home. Glenn Forrester, the bands sound engineer & tour manager, replaced Nigel at Bass, and Kelsey McDonell replaced Shelley.
